CBF Bands in the Sand Event Postponed until June 2022

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s (CBF) Bands in the Sand event, originally scheduled for August 28, 2021, has been postponed to June 11, 2022.

“The fight to save the Chesapeake Bay depends, more than anything else, on its most irreplaceable asset: its dedicated Bay savers,” said CBF President William C. Baker.  “Our top priority is the health and safety of event attendees, staff, volunteers, vendors, bands, and everyone in our extended CBF family.”

The decision to postpone this event is due to the spread of the COVID-19 Delta variant, the increasing evidence of more breakthrough infections in fully vaccinated individuals, and the need to remain consistent with CDC guidelines for events.

All tickets for this year’s event will be honored next year. If you have any additional questions or need assistance, please contact Jessica Rubino at [email protected].

We look forward to seeing all in June 2022.
