CBF Applauds Gov. Northam’s Actions to Protect Migratory Birds

(RICHMOND, VA)—Today Governor Northam ordered a series of actions to protect migratory birds in the face of federal rollbacks to the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Following the Governor’s actions, Peggy Sanner, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s Virginia Executive Director issued this statement.

“In the face of the Trump Administration’s unprecedented rollbacks in environmental protection, it is essential that state leaders step in to fill the void. The Chesapeake Bay Foundation commends Governor Northam for his leadership to protect migratory birds and our other priceless natural resources.”
