(VIRGINIA BEACH) –The Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) is kicking off a new happy hour series with a summer solstice sunset party the evening of June 21 at the Brock Environmental Center. Join CBF on the longest day of the year while watching the sun set over the beautiful Lynnhaven River. All over 21 are welcome to enjoy local beer, wine, and oysters, and live music by the Tiki Bar Band at one of the most environmentally smart buildings in the world.
This is the first in a series of monthly happy hours CBF is hosting this summer. It takes place on Thursday, June 21, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Brock Environmental Center at 3663 Marlin Bay Drive in Virginia Beach. Complimentary valet parking is offered at the gravel circle in front of the building.
A limited number of tickets is available, register in advance at www.cbf.org/sunsetparty. The $35 tickets include all you can eat and drink and a complimentary membership with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation for new members. Sponsors include Canon Virginia, Inc., and Smartmouth Brewing Co. Oysters will be provided by local aquaculture operations including Colonial Oyster Company.
