(NORFOLK, VA)—Registration is now open for the 21st annual Paddle for the Bay benefit race, which features human-powered vessels from kayaks and stand up paddle boards to outrigger canoes and surf skis. The race will be held this year on the morning of Saturday, Aug. 4, at Sarah Constant Beach Park in Norfolk. All proceeds from the race benefit the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF).
Events include a 3-mile fun paddle and a 6-mile race organized and certified by the Mid-Atlantic Paddler's Association. All skill levels are welcome. Register online here.
Advance registration is $30, or $35 the day of the race. Day-of registration runs from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 4, and the races start at 9:00 a.m. Registration includes a CBF membership and lunch. Spectators are welcome.
