Susquehanna Watershed Education Program (SWEP) - Educator

Tom Parke, educator for CBF, loads canoes for a Bay field experience.

Tenure at CBF: 2008-Present

Education: Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, B.S. Art Education / Environmental Education K-12

Prior Experience:

  • Eighth-grade environmental science teacher, Susquehanna Township Middle School

Personal Statement: “In the last 50 years the Susquehanna has come a long way. What was once was seen as a system too shallow for large transit, it resorted to being the drain for homes, farms, and factories. Though the river still has a ways to go, it hosts abundant wildlife diversity, history, and great memories ready to be made.”
