Paige Sanford

Islands Program Senior Manager

CBF Educator Paige Sanford.

Tenure at CBF: March 2012-present

Education: Washington College, bachelor's degree in Anthropology.

Prior Experience:  Paige has been working with our island team since 2012 and since that time has gained experience at all four of our island education centers. Her introduction to education, CBF style, began with a seasonal educator position at Fox Island and most recently, she has served as Manager of
the Karan Noonan Education Program. In between, she enjoyed working at Smith Island and Port Isobel where she facilitated lessons on history, culture, and issues of the local bay fishing communities of Tangier, Virginia and Tylerton, Maryland. During her island time, her biggest priorities have been providing meaningful watershed experiences for students, student leaders, and teachers
that are not only safe but also rich and relevant to her audience.

Paige hails from Charlottesville, Virginia and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a minor in Art History from Washington College. She participated in the Chesapeake Bay Regional Studies Program, an interdisciplinary study of the Chesapeake Bay with a focus on history, ecology, and culture of the watershed.

Paige has always loved the outdoors, especially spending time on the bay, and traveling.
