Student Leadership
Students and the Chesapeake Clean Water Blueprint
Students have an incredible ability and opportunity to help improve the health of the Bay. The mission of CBF's Student Leadership program is to offer students opportunities to expand their knowledge of Bay issues, improve their planning skills, focus on team building, and learn how to lead others to take action to improve water quality in their local communities. We accomplish this by providing summer courses and student-directed project resources to motivated students who want to join in the larger effort of environmental change.
Get ready for bigger, better, broader, "Bay-er" student Blueprint opportunities. CBF is rolling out new programs for students to get involved in advancing the Blueprint for a clean Chesapeake Bay.
Coming this summer: Student Leadership Summer Courses
CBF's five-day immersive experiences are for high school students who are motivated to be environmental leaders in their schools and communities. Find out more.
Coming this fall: Alignment 2013
This conference-plus-festival is for high school students across the watershed to gather, meet, learn, and get excited about doing Bay-saving projects at their homes, schools, and communities.
Also coming this fall will be a new CBF student web portal, videos, social media channels, leadership resources, and instructions on environmental projects for students who care about Saving the Bay™ and want to take action. Stay tuned.
In the meantime…
Our student project resources page has activities and guides for students to do environmental projects on their own.If you are planning a project or have already started one, let us know! We would love to connect you with whatever resources and opportunities we can.
