Join us this summer for Middle School Bay Eco-Camp, a new weeklong learning adventure designed for students interested in the outdoors and the Bay’s natural ecosystems. Eco-campers will create lasting memories with new friends, explore the outside world, and engage in physical, social, and educational activities. Here are some example adventures:
- Canoe through marshy creeks.
- Haul up nets full of underwater grasses and Bay critters.
- Create works of art inspired by beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
- Explore the historic community of Tangier Island. And more!
Open To: Rising 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students
Location: Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s Port Isobel Island Environmental Education Center, adjacent to the historic island community of Tangier, Virginia.

We will meet at the J. Millard Tawes Historical Museum located inside the marina parking area and depart as a group, via boat, to Port Isobel. We will not have any other means of transport to the education center, so we ask that participants strictly adhere to drop-off and pick-up times.

Fees: $1000.00 per student. The cost includes activities, meals, snacks, lodging, and ferry transport. Payment is due at the time of registration.
Cancellation Policy: Space is limited to 25 students per camp on a first-come, first-served basis. Our scheduling team will notify parents via email if a space becomes available after the deadline.
July Camp:
- Cancellations before June 24 receive a full refund minus a $75 processing fee.
- Cancellations between June 25–June 30 receive a 50% refund minus a $75 processing fee.
- No refunds will be granted after July 1.
August Camp:
- Cancellations before July 22 receive a full refund minus a $75 processing fee.
- Cancellations between July 23–July 27 receive a 50% refund minus a $75 processing fee.
- No refunds will be granted after July 28.
