Today at the Executive Council Meeting—where leaders of the six Bay states, D.C., the EPA, the USDA, and Chesapeake Bay Commission met to discuss their 2025 deadline to restore the Bay—there was a 600-pound gorilla in the room that was ignored. Oyster restoration project! For over two decades, we have been adding oysters to a reef at Fort Carroll. This year we were lucky enough to partner with @chesapeakebayfoundation and @waterfrontpartnership to continue this important mission. Students from St. Ignatius Loyola Academy counted and measured the oysters to help us better understand the growth and mortality of this spat set.
