A community united is a powerful thing. Thanks to broad community support, CBF just broke ground on what will be the greenest building in Virginia history. And you can be a part of it by helping us Raise the Roof.
The Brock Environmental Center at Pleasure House Point in Virginia Beach has been designed to meet the strictest environmental standards making it not only the greenest building in Virginia but one of the greenest in the world. The center has been designed to create virtually no waste and will be powered by the wind and sun. It will inspire all to become better stewards of the natural world and will be a model for green building for decades to come. Beyond the numerous environmental benefits, the Brock Environmental Center will bring a community together. To learn more about the center and all that it will do for the region and our waterways, visit cbf.org/brockcenter.
And with a generous donation of $100 or more, you can make history and help us Raise the Roof for the Brock Environmental Center. Each $100 donation will purchase a permanent zinc tile as part of the center's iconic curved roof. The tiles will last for decades—much longer than traditional roofing materials—and will require virtually no maintenance. In appreciation of your gift, your name or the name of those you wish to honor will be memorialized forever on a plaque in the center.
